Okay...I have been talking to this girl on myspace, and we share a lot of the same interests. So, I asked her if she wanted to go check a band out sometime. She said yes. Well...I come to find out she knows a friend of a friend, and that person said this girl is overweight. (She's one of those, top part only pics on myspace people) Not that overweight is a bad thing, it's just not the kind of girl I want to date. Just being honest. So......should I go out with her and just preface that I am only looking for a friend at the moment? Or what? Or, should I just ignore her e-mail and move on?

I have a motto I follow when I date someone from online. Pictures always lie. Most of the time when I get a picture from someone, they look about 10x better in real life. So I always make it a habit to go out with them, even if the pic didn't seem very good. Now likewise, through word of mouth, someone 5 lbs overweight might be "obese" to some people. So just meet her, if you don't like her, or aren't interested in her then so be it. Don't advance any relationship, if she begs you or comes to you wanting more, then let her know that you are more interested in friendship at that time. Maybe she won't like you and you won't have to deal with it again. But either way its a learning experience.

Overweight I am...and everbody has a pref about "looks". I have pics on my profile that are half body shots but when looking at them anyone can tell I am overweight so the problem is what?
